Croft Circuit will bid to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society this year after confirming it will be the North Yorkshire venue’s chosen charity to support throughout 2019.
Billed as the home of motorsport in the North East, Croft is currently in the midst of another busy season of hugely popular and ultra-competitive racing - with the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship set to headline the summer schedule on June 15/16.
Alzheimer’s Society is currently the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today. At the moment dementia is the UK’s biggest killer with someone developing it every three minutes; as it stand there is no cure.
During the remainder of the 2019 season at Croft, fund-raising at every opportunity will take place to fund further research towards finding a cure - echoing the charity strap-line of ‘United Against Dementia.
Tracey Morley, Croft Circuit Manager, said: “I’m proud to confirm that we have chosen the Alzheimer’s Society as our chosen charity for the season. This is a charity that is close to my heart and one that I am sure everyone can get behind.
“The motorsport community is a powerful one and I’m sure we can come together collectively throughout the season at Croft and do some good.”
