Jack Frost Rally Postponed Until December
The planned Jack Frost Stages Rally, scheduled for Saturday 1 February 2025, has been postponed until later in the year and will now take place on Sunday 7 December 2025.
Organisers Darlington & District Motor Club have had a limited response to entries following regulations being announced in late December, meaning with just over 40 cars and with the closing date imminent, the event is not financially viable at this time.
The decision followed a meeting between D&DMC officials and the Croft Circuit management and whilst both parties wanted the event to go ahead and looked at all possibilities of running the rally next month, it was decided that a date later in the year would be preferable.
The Swift Signs & Shirts Christmas Stages Rally ran in late November 2024 at Croft with a near-capacity 90-car entry and the general feedback was that a date later in the year would be more conducive to getting the required number of 70 cars minimum to run a successful event.
By running on the revised date in December, it avoids the popular Roger Albert Clark Rally and other local events and is in keeping with the traditional winter date of Croft rallies in the past, which have proven to be popular with both competitors and spectators alike.
All competitors who have entered the original Jack Frost Stages Rally will be contacted by the organisers and provided with a FULL refund of all fees paid, including club memberships and marshals' donations.
Regulations for the revised date will be available later in the year and for further information, please visit www.darlingtondmc.com, or email Entries Secretary Lesley Starkey: chair@darlington-motor-club.org.uk.
The opening event of the 2025 season at Croft will now be the North East Motorcycle Racing Club bike race meeting on 22 & 23 March 2025. More details on 2025 events are available here.
