TCR UK Touring Car Championship Rolls into Croft Circuit
Ahead of the impending visit of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship in August, the British Automobile Racing Club’s (BARC) TCR Race Weekend will see a variety of cars in action at Croft Circuit on 14 and 15 June 2025.
The two-day meeting will feature machines ranging from Caterhams to tin-top saloons battling it out with the headline TCR UK Touring Car Championship going head-to-head three times throughout the weekend.
The popular series sees the likes of Seat Cupras, Audi RS3s and Hyundai i30Ns taking to the circuit as the series reaches its halfway point of the season whereby competitors will line up on the grid for qualifying and round 9 on Saturday before going wheel to wheel in rounds 10 and 11 on Sunday afternoon.
Cupra Leon VZ TCR Capture Motorsport driver Adam Shepherd heads into the weekend with the series lead ahead of fellow Cupra pilot Steve Laidlaw. The pair will be battling for the top spot once again after Laidlaw took victory twice last time out at Silverstone.
In addition, the series, now running under the BARC banner, will be supported by the Milltek Civic Cup with the Hondas opening the racing on Saturday afternoon before featuring twice more over the weekend. Also competing at Croft will be the P4 Emergency Lighting Caterham Graduates Championship with the Sigma 135 and 150 classes going up against each other with close battles expected in all three races.
The Track Action Racing Club, with a mixed grid of budget friendly sports cars, saloons and coupes will be vying for the top spot in their fourth outing of the season with a race each day whilst also reaching the halfway mark of the season will be the Junior Saloon Car Championship where some future stars of the racing world cut their teeth in the one-make series. Behind the wheel of the Citroen Saxos will be drivers aged between 14 to 17 years with the class offering youngsters the chance to step into circuit racing with one race on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Qualifying begins at 9.30am on Saturday followed by racing at 2pm whilst on Sunday there is the opportunity for fans to get up close to the drivers with an autograph session taking place in the pit lane at 11am before a grid walk at 11.45am alongside the TCR competitors. The first race will follow at 12.00 noon with a full programme of racing throughout the afternoon.
Adult admission is just £17 on both days with accompanied children aged 15 and under admitted FREE. There is FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.
