Whitham To Star In Inaugural Croft Chat Show

Former British Superbike Champion and World Superbike race winner, James Whitham will be the first guest in a new series of chat shows to be held at Croft Circuit this summer.

Now a popular TV commentator, Whitham will be appearing at the circuit’s Hangar 50 Cafe and Restaurant on Tuesday 22 July where he’s expected to be joined by a couple of BSB stars yet to be confirmed.

The entertaining Yorkshireman is combining the chat show as part of his two-day James Whitham Track Training programme at Croft on 22/23 July and will be regaling the audience with stories from his racing career both on and off the track.

The evening will be hosted by local motorsport broadcaster and journalist, Larry Carter, who will also have a small number of copies of both of his ‘Century of Memories’ books on sale, ‘Yorkshire Motorsport’ and ‘North Eastern Motorsport,’ signed if required.

The evening gets underway at 7.45pm with doors open from 7pm, and admission is just £15 per person on the door and includes a choice of flatbread suppers with a bar open throughout the evening and free parking.

Croft Circuit is located and signposted just off the A167 five miles south of Darlington and approximately two miles south of Croft-on-Tees.

  • With just three weeks to go to the region’s biggest motorsport event taking place when the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship visits Croft Circuit on August 2/3, now is the time to secure advance tickets.

  • Prices in advance start at £19 for an adult ticket on Saturday and £34 for adults on Sunday. Teen tickets for ages 13 to 15 cost £7.50 and £9.50 respectively whilst accompanied children under 12 are admitted FREE.

There is also FREE parking and FREE paddock access. Weekend tickets offering huge savings are also available and limited VIP Hospitality packages are still available starting at just £190 per person.

Grandstand seating is available at extra cost until sold out and the limited-edition official programme, on sale at just £7.00, contains a wealth of features and information, and is produced once again by Northallerton-based Cartersport Motorsport Media.
