
750 Motor Club Action Set For Return
The budget-friendly 750 Motor Club returns to Croft Circuit for a second time this season with a packed racing programme next weekend (20/21 September).
The Midlands-based club’s two-day event will see a wide range of affordable racing series competing at the North Yorkshire venue with the likes of single-seaters to hatchbacks taking to the tarmac across a bumper 20 races.
The Hot Hatch series for modified petrol hatchbacks go wheel to wheel in three sprint races over the weekend in their penultimate meeting of the season and features the likes of popular Ford Fiestas, Peugeots and Citroens.
For fans of classic machinery, the Historic 750 Formula will be in action on Sunday. Primarily comprising Austin Seven Specials and later Reliant-engined Formula cars, drivers will do battle twice, while the 750 Formula will also race on Saturday and Sunday in their final outing of the season.
The nippy cars of the MX5 Cup by 5Club, the one-make championship for the Mk1 Mazda MX5, will race once on Saturday and twice on Sunday while the BMW Car Club Racing series will do battle on both days.
The Swift Sport Challenge, open to drivers aged 16 and above, will offer close and affordable racing in cars based on the 1.6 Suzuki Swift Sport. They will line up on the grid once on Saturday and twice on Sunday.
The Sports Specials championship sees a variety of lightweight sportscars in action featuring genuine production sports specials and kit cars including Caterhams, Westfields, MEVs, Ginettas and Elises as well as one-off roadgoing two-seater specials. They take to the grid twice on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Armed Forces Race Challenge will compete in two 15-minute sprint races as the GAZ Shocks 116 Trophy, before competing in a 90-minute endurance race featuring compulsory pitstops for teams of up to three drivers.
On track action starts at 9.30am on Saturday and 12.00 noon on Sunday. Ticket prices are £17 for adults with children aged 15 and under admitted FREE. There is FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.
